2/12/18 Papeete Week 3 - Having Fun Contacting, Serving with Soeur Bready

Iaorana Tatou!!!

A Baptism To Come
This week was pretty intense so buckle up! First of all we're planning a baptism for a little girl in our ward and she's adorable! You will all be seeing pictures soon of her cute little face! The baptism is next Saturday and Soeur Bready will be giving her first talk in French!!! I'm so excited for her!

My New Companion
So I realize that I haven't really told you all about Soeur Bready yet so allow me to do so real quick. She is the most adorable human ever. She's from Utah, has an identical twin, annd plays the flute. This is her first transfer out of training and she's killing it! Her French is so much better than mine was out of training. I love her so much!!!

Contacting is a Blast
Something that was super fun this week was we did a lot of contacting. I thought it wouldn't be very effective, but we found so many people who had already talked with the missionaries before or have family who are members so that was cool. We honestly found like 5 people who said yes to the lessons within an hour of contacting. We are so blessed to be here!

Teaching Our New Family
So our coolest lesson this week was with our new family. I think I told y'all about them last week, but they're awesome! We've been teaching them the lessons for a while and they've always said that they want to be baptized with their daughter who is 5 years old. Anyway, we taught them about the priesthood and how after he is baptized he could baptize his daughter. Their faces just lit up as they realized that he could be a worthy Priesthood holder in their home. We asked them to pray about a baptismal date so we're super excited about it!

Other than that this week has been pretty much the same. You know, lots of really good food, eating with our hands like in the good old islands, almost dying driving, getting rained on while contacting, and lots of lingering handshakes with old men. The usual.

Anyway, I love you all! Have an awesome week!
