Iaorana Tatou!!! So this week was awesome! For starters I went on a split with one of the STL's (a sister training leader) and it went super well! We went to see E_ and G_ and they're both doing really well! I learned how to teach the law of chastity in Tahitian, which was an adventure for sure.  We got sick this week! I got what they call the "grippe" which is actually just a cold, but man did it do me over. I had aches and pains everywhere, but we still had a full day so we went to our first lesson, went to the church parking lot and slept in the car, and then finished our other lesson. What a party.  So this week we read Jacob 5 (in the Book of Mormon) together as a house and it was actually the coolest thing ever. We found so much stuff I had never noticed and it was amazing. From now on it will not be something I dread to read!  So we actually did not do a lot this week, but I love you all!!! Have a great week!  Also: guess who forgot thei

Iaorana Tatou!!!  Baptism So this week was incredible! For starters we had the baptism for H_ which was awesome! So the mom told us that the primary was taking care of everything and about 5 minutes before the baptism they asked us to give the talks about baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost... needless to say they were super short, but I think we killed it. Other than that the baptism went great!!!  Lindsay Life Update Video .mov one Very Friendly Family So one amazing thing that happened this week is that we had a Faatamaaraa with a family who was so insanely excited for us to come and eat with them they decorated the house with flowers and made us some hais (flower necklaces). They even wrote a lot of Tahitian words on the walls and helped us learn them. We're so blessed!   Teaching Erwan This week we had an amazing lesson with a recent convert! E_ was having some problems and we had no idea how to help him until we got into this lesson and some

Iaorana Tatou!  Pretty views are just everywhere here. I can't handle it. So this week was super cool! We were able to have H_ interviewed for baptism and SHE'S ALL SET TO BE BAPTIZED  WEDNESDAY !!! I'm so happy for her! She really has grown and changed so much! I think that's my favorite thing about the mission, just being able to witness firsthand how the gospel changes people.  Cool sunset just before a Faatamaaraa (Dinner Appointment) So we had a super freaky experience this week. We went to a lesson in the morning and when we left it started raining. At first we weren't too worried because it rains all the time but then it started raining even more and WE SAW LIGHTNING just about us. It's so bizzare because neither of us had ever seen lightning before. We "might have" called Mamie and she "might have" laughed at us because we're scared of thunder. Anyway, we pulled over to wait for it to lighten up because there was

Iaorana Tatou! Our Church Building in a Downpour Yet Another Mud Story Ok, so you know how last week we got stuck in the mud a couple times? Storytime: Once upon a time Soeur Sellers and Soeur Nicholls foolishly missed a Faatamaaraa (a meal with members) because of a miscommunication, so they decided one day to pop in and apologize. Little did they know they had no idea where they were going and ended up crossing two rivers and getting stuck in the mud in front of someones house. They were so worried that they would have to call someone to come help them when the owner came out and helped them out of his front yard. Way to go, J_! We really appreciated it. They ended up not going to see that family but decided to try giving out invitations to English class.  Vicious Dog Flashbacks and Breaking Trees While on their way to hand out invitations they saw another road and decided to look for people who lived there where they almost got eaten by dogs (thank heavens the
