4/23/18 Pirae 2 Week 13 - Training a New Missionary, Sisters Conference, Good-byes

Iaorana Tatou!
The sunset last night
This last week continued to be hard for our amis, but we're still positive and happy! We did have a lot of cool things happen this week, like we had a muli-zone sisters conference with Soeur Fox (our mission president's wife). It was very inspiring and at the end we all colored some notes we could give to our amis or while contacting. It was so funny because you would never find coloring as part of the schedule at an Elders conference.

So a miracle that happened this week was we went to the hospital with some sisters to get some tests done (because we're the missionary taxi, but we don't mind) and normally we thought we were just going to go and drop them off, but we decided to stay and Soeur Bready struck up a conversation with someone in the waiting room. Turns out she has cancer and was there to go through some tests. We continued talking and found out that she actually took the missionary lessons before and had many member friends. She was so kind and at the end we were able to get her number right before her appointment. Talk about the Lords timing!  She doesn't live in our sector, but the other missionaries should be checking up on her soon.

In other news, transfers were a thing and Soeur Bready got transferred, but not too far away (we'll be in the same district still) and I'm going to train a new missionary!!! In missionary terms I'm going to be a mom!!! I'm a little nervous because anyone who knows me knows I forget everything (like literally everything) and for the first little while I'm going to have to do almost everything for the two of us while teaching her the ropes. I know there will be some crazy stories waiting for y'all next week!

Saying Goodbye
So last night a sister who had served in our sector was coming to say goodbye before she headed home to America, and so some members in our ward threw together a faatamaara'a for her and of course we were invited! It was so fun to see everyone. It still blows my mind how much everyone cares about the missionaries. At home I never knew when missionaries went home or would go to the airport to say goodbye to them, but here a lot of the ward and a lot of amis come because they care that much.

Anyway, I love you all and hope you have a nice week!!! Love you!
Sidenote: Our house has actually become very incredible when it comes to coloring... We've added so many pictures to our coloring wall.

A really cool carved wild pig tusk. You're welcome.
