Bonjour toute le monde!!! Christelle with Husband, Arthur and Hazael   Ping-Pong P-day So I actually had a super crazy awesome week, I have so much to tell y’all!!! So for starters for P-day we played ping pong with the elders and a member, and I was actually decent by the end! Take that, college friends, who always kicked my butt at ping pong! We also went on an adventure to the beach and took some super awesome pictures so be prepared for that!  Real Whales Sighted WE SAW WHALES!!! We didn’t have a Faatamaaraa (dinner appointment) one day so we ate our lunch at the beach because why not, and Soeur Miller noticed a bunch of water blowing up and we saw a huge family of whales just chilling chez nous ! (At Home) None of them decided to jump for us, but we saw tons of tails. How cool is that??? Soeur Mapuhi and Her Aunt from America So do you all remember Jean and Eugene? We’ve been at their house a lot for dinners because Soeur Mapuhi is super kind, ...

9/11/17 Huahine Week 13 - Gene & Eugene, Drunks, Centipedes

Bonjour tout le monde!!! So boy have I had an interesting week! We had our first experience with creepy drunk guys at night, battled a giant centipede, and somehow scheduled two baptisms without realizing it. ;) Anyway, stay tuned!!!   Making an Exit BIG NEWS! I have finished my training! I've been a "grownup" missionary for a week now and to be honest it's not much different. Super excited though! So... the story with the drunk guys. A Faatamaara'a fell through (our meals with the members) so we decided since we had time to go watch the sunset on the beach. When we got there we were so excited because there wasn't anyone. Normally there are people drinking or something so we just stay in the car to stay safe, but this time there wasn't anyone we could see so we got out to take pictures and watch the sunset. Just after the sun actually set two guys with beers in hand approached us out of nowhere and started talking to us. Instantly I'm fre...

Bonjour Tout le Monde! What I Must Look Like Looking for Worksheets for English Class Keeping the Car, Sacred Eels, and Bad Cuts I know you're sick of hearing this, but this week was another amazing week! We actually didn't have to give up the car!!! I guess President Fox heard about our plight, remembered how large our area was, and took pity on us. Thank heavens because we had our Zone leaders come and visit us! Because they were here, we did a couple touristy things with them. We bought some canned mackerel and fed these gigantic eels that are longer than my arm! They're called "Sacred Eels" and we drew quite a crowd of tourists and native kids by feeding them. I don't have any pictures because I cut my hand on the can pretty bad (I know, classic Soeur Sellers) and I didn't want to get blood everywhere. Sorry! Afterwards we took them to a couple beaches with great views, but were thwarted in our plans of a scenic view by a couple of "ina...
