8/6/18 Puurai Week 4 - H_'s Baptism, Sister Training Leader

Iaorana tatou! This week was super awesome, but if I'm being honest I forgot most of it... apologies  to my family, friends, and future posterity.  For pday we watched a church movie with our district which would have been awesome, but the computer kept starting the movie over... oh well. We got to see everyone when they're at their worst, so it was a good time.  We got to go to the temple this week! It's such a privilege to go, and we really enjoyed it! We tried to take pictures at the end on self timer... it kind of worked, but there are some epic fails coming your way. ;)  I had my first STL split as the STL ( sister training leader), and it was so fun! It's always a party to get to see how other people teach and work. We might have gotten lost a couple times, and I might have said a few utterly stupid things, but life goes on. We ended up getting pizza at the end and celebrating. Good times.  Ok, Best for last: the...

Iaorana Tatou! Our Church Building in a Downpour Yet Another Mud Story Ok, so you know how last week we got stuck in the mud a couple times? Storytime: Once upon a time Soeur Sellers and Soeur Nicholls foolishly missed a Faatamaaraa (a meal with members) because of a miscommunication, so they decided one day to pop in and apologize. They were so worried that they would have to call someone to come help them when the owner came out and helped them out of his front yard. Way to go, J_! We really appreciated it. They ended up not going to see that family but decided to try giving out invitations to English class.  Vicious Dog Flashbacks and Breaking Trees While on their way to hand out invitations they saw another road and decided to look for people who lived there where they almost got eaten by dogs (thank heavens ...

Bonjour everyone! So to clear up any confusion, "soeur" is in fact pronounced SIR. Every time I hear my name, Soeur Sellers, I feel like a knight. ;) Soeur Kendall's awesome and also going to Tahiti.  In our district we have 10 Missionaries (4 sisters and 6 elders). The other sisters are going to Leon France and won't stay for the full NINE WEEKS WE ARE HERE! We are doing six weeks of French and three weeks of Tahitian.  Everything is awesome here! The dork dot came off as soon as possible... Pretty much everyone would say,  "Welcome to the MTC," and it slowly drove me insane. ;) For those of you who don't know, a dork dot is a little round orange sticker they put on your name tag for the first day you are here so people know that you are new and can help you.  We have made a couple mistakes (going to lunch at the wrong time and getting lost pretty much all the time), but all in all it's been a great experience. So all of my books weigh l...
