Iaorana Tatou!!! So this week was pretty darn incredible. First of all: I saw a man trying to dig a hole with a machete. Could this day get any better??? Second of all: We had zone conference and guess who decided to show up? Elder Haleck from the 70. Before it had even started yours truly was randomly selected from a bunch of other missionaries to be interviewed by him. It was a very cool because I had had a couple questions and by the end when he asked "do you have any questions?" he had single handedly answered them all. We had an incredible zone conference that I'll never forget. I think my favorite quote of the day was "You need to help your investigators make it to the kingdom of God, but you also need to live so that you can join them there." Good stuff! Zone Conference with Elder Haleck This week we also had transfer calls and I'm staying in Puurai, but I had to say goodbye to Soeur Randriantsoa and hello to Soe...

Iaorana Tatou!!! This week was honestly one of the best weeks of my mission! We have been working so hard this transfer and the Lord is seeing fit to bless us! First of all we found 4 new amis who are so amazing! The first two are a young couple who are living together who randomly came to church a couple weeks ago even though they aren't members. They're so freaking cute and we started teaching them this week, and later she called us and asked us to come and teach her father the Plan of Salvation because she liked it so much! The other two are references from some less active members who are starting to come back to church. Honestly he has been so prepared by God to change his life around like his older brother (the member who gave us the reference) and we can't wait to start teaching him and his son! We dropped by to see if we could start teaching them and he literally had a cake made for us and they treated us like queens. They're so cute!!! Anoth...

Bonjour!!! Zone Conference in Raiatea Flying to Raiatea! So this has been another AWESOME week and I can't wait to tell y'all about it! You know how I said last week we might be going to Raiatea for zone conference? Well dreams do come true! We flew out pretty early  Wednesday  morning and were able to spend the night in Raiatea! It was really weird having a 15 minute plane flight, but what can you expect when you can literally see Raiatea from our little island? ;) It was so cool! It was also very disorienting to be with all three of the companions I've had so far. At one point Soeur Wissocq said "companion" and I responded instead of her current companion. Tears may or may not have been shed once we realized the mistake. Honestly though, I've been so lucky with all of the companions I've had so far! They've all taught me something new and have helped me become a better missionary! Both Soeur Kendall and Soeur Wissocq are doing amazing ri...

Bonjour tout le monde!!! The stones are like a sacred place here. Their ancestors placed them here in that way and now people get married and stuff there. Pretty cool stuff. Packages from America So this week was awesome! For starters both Soeur Miller and I got packages from our families! So blessed! And I got something in said package that will allow me to upload pictures, so life is good again!!! Be prepared for tons of pictures!!!  Bicycles Bad!! So you know how I was so excited we weren't going to be on bikes? I spoke too soon. Our new elder has knee problems and can't bike everyday so we're sharing with the elders now. They have it every  Friday -M onday  and we have it the rest of the week. And surprise surprise: Riding a bike in a skirt is not easy. I am really impressed with all of those sister missionaries who have come before us because it is actually the worst. I think I've managed to flash everyone on this island.    oh well, what ...

Iorana tatou! "My Living Room Wall that I Love" - Lindsay Raking Mangos and Climbing Trees Apparently I've been spelling that wrong this whole time. I feel like my whole life is a lie. So this week was kind of uneventful... JK, there's no such thing as uneventful in Huahine! So something that I'm coming to realize is when Soeur Wissocq wants something, she does everything in her power to get it. It's served her well in her life, straight A's, very popular, ect. It has a downside though, and I will demonstrate this in a story that definitely happened this week. It was a  Tuesday  night like any other. We were coming to the close of our English class when all of the sudden a tree full of unripe mangos caught Soeur Wissocq's eye. Ok, long story short after English class we were throwing rakes into this tree to get mangos down while members tried to climb it. It's moments like this where I wish my mission life was a TV show because ...
