Iaorana Tatou!!!
This week was honestly one of the
best weeks of my mission! We have been working so hard this transfer and
the Lord is seeing fit to bless us! First of all we found 4 new amis
who are so amazing! The first two are a young couple who are living
together who randomly came to church a couple weeks ago even though they
aren't members. They're so freaking cute and we started teaching them
this week, and later she called us and asked us to come and teach her father the Plan of Salvation because she liked it so much! The other two
are references from some less active members who are starting to come
back to church. Honestly he has been so prepared by God to change his
life around like his older brother (the member who gave us the
reference) and we can't wait to start teaching him and his son! We
dropped by to see if we could start teaching them and he literally had a
cake made for us and they treated us like queens. They're so cute!!!
Another
great thing about this week was that we had zone conference and I GOT
TO SEE MY MOM FAAAMU!!! (My adopted mom Soeur Miller) It had been way too
long!

This conference was so good and really focused on working with
the members to find, teach, and ultimately help make covenants. We had a
huge testimony builder of that this week when we went to teach one of
our amies V__. We brought with us a member in our ward who I had
never done a split with, so I was kind of nervous. We
went into that lesson really expecting anything. But we weren't prepared
for how perfect this member was for this amie. Honestly it was the most
powerful lesson I have ever had with this amie and by the end she was
so excited to change and be happy. I have never seen anyone so happy to
quit smoking or to leave their boyfriend who is holding her back from
progressing (and is abusive). THAT IS THE POWER OF A MEMBER'S TESTIMONY.
It's easy for us as missionaries to testify and people to brush it off, but you can't
ignore a neighbor who you've seen their example and testify strongly
that this message can change their lives for the better.
I
could go on rants about how awesome this week was (and I have), but
honestly the best part was that we had a lot of amis come to church. We
had some amis who had never been to church before come and it was so
awesome!!! D__'s whole family came FOR ALL THREE HOURS and they were so
happy!!! The church is true people!!!

Funny
thing of the week: We were parking our car at a member's house to go to a
faatamaaraa a couple houses down and I noticed a machete in the back of
their truck. I pointed it out to Soeur Fowers and she picked it up to
get a picture with it. Right then the ward member
walked out of the shower in only his towel. His face was priceless and we
were able to get Soeur Fower's face in the moment. Enjoy.
